Our Imperious Management Group culture is team-based. As such, we focus on what is necessary to work cohesively with one another. We’ve studied the importance of group dynamics within a company to learn best practices the most effective firms use. Here are three that reflect what we’ve incorporated here:
- They Take Turns Sharing the Floor: In our Imperious Management Group office, we value everyone’s input. We make sure each person has a chance to contribute to the conversation. With good meeting facilitation practices applied, we take turns talking and listening to one another. We also encourage active listening, which involves grasping the intent of what the other person has to say.
- Face-to-Face Interaction: When people converse in person, the depth of the discussion is deeper due to nonverbal cues. Body language such as hand positions and facial expressions can convey much meaning. There are certain nuances that can be missed in email exchanges or even over the phone. As such, we suggest people talk to each other face to face as much as possible.
- Information From Outside the Group Is Shared Within: When members of our team attend networking events or conferences, we hold meetings and training sessions with all Imperious Management Group associates to discuss the information learned at these functions.
